Off to Scotland...Need help!
Well it is official, after weeks of speculating, it is true! Tyler has a job to do in Aberdeen, Scotland and I get to tag along with him. We are going to get to stay about a week and go down to London, England also. It is very exciting, but I am not sure where to go to figure out things to do there. Does anyone have any great travel sites they go to? I need help! I want to see as much as we can in the short time period we will be there so, help!

Kite Flying
The Easter bunny had brought Peyton a spider-man kite for easter. Peyton has been wanting to fly it, but we just haven't got around to it. Monday night was a perfect night to do it. The wind was slightly blowing (which never happens in Idaho) and was warm (also, never happens in Idaho)! The kids had a blast and Landen loved to watch it in the air.
Fun in the Sun
This last week the kids (in kindergarten) have been working on biographies and had to pick a person to write about- Austin picked Peyton. This is what he wrote. I thought it was so cute!We have finally had some warm weather! Although I believe that our joy will be short lived. But Peyton and Austin wanted to take full advantage and played outside all day. They even wanted to get the hose out, even though I told them it wasn't quite warm enough for that, they didn't care! They lasted longer than I thought they would, but when they came in they asked for hot chocolate. So after they drank their hot cocoa, they were back out in the water! Those two are so funny!

Little Mom

The other day I had Landen on the bed and he was crying for me, but I couldn't get right to him. So Brynn got into the fridge and pulled out a cold bottle and climbed on the bed to feed him. When I heard that he had stopped crying I went into the room, and there was little Brynnie feeding him a bottle. I must say, that he didn't care for the cold bottle too much. But I thought it was sweet, so I of course had to take a picture.
Buddies

Today Peyton had to play against all of his friends in t-ball. It was funny that they all ended up on the same team. They all did an awesome job. Peyton was out in the outfield running around with a girl on his team. They kept throwing their gloves at one another and chasing each other. So he wasn't too interested in the game. Tyler was playing first base and when he would catch the ball, he would lightly tap the person running on the shoulder with his hand (not his glove). It was cute because it was like he didn't want to hurt anybody. And Jaylee looked like Miss Hollywood with her pink shades! It was cute! It is fun to have friends with kids the same age, we all get to watch them grow up together!

Landen Grant
I wanted to post these pics. Angela took these for me when Landen was about six weeks old. I keep thinking that Landen is still a little baby (probably because he is my last), but when I looked at these pics I was shocked. Sadly, I realized that he
isn't a baby anymore and that my "little baby boy" is growing up fast!

Growth Charts
Mom, these are the cute charts we made (Kristen's idea). These would make
for a great enrichment activity! I just need to add the vinyl lettering.

Lessons Learned
This little "bantie" keeps trying to hatch the eggs, we have to practically pick her up off the eggs to gather them.
We bought chickens this last summer and it has been a great investment. Tyler and I wanted some chores for the kids to do, to give them some responsibility. Peyton has enjoyed it and actually sells the eggs he gathers. He has made a little profit from it. And the other day he came in and said, "mom I got ten eggs today, and I only need two more to make twelve." And I just kind of nodded not really thinking about it. And then I realized that he performed a math skill, I didn't know he could do. Just from gathering eggs and filling cartons, he knows how many eggs he gets and how many makes a dozen. And then I started thinking how valuable these chickens have really been. Peyton has had to deal with some of life's hardest lessons, two of his chickens have died (one from our dog killing it, and one from old age?), which was hard on him. He has learned responsibility with feeding them and taking care of them (it is so funny when those chickens see Peyton coming to their coop, they know he is bringing them so grub). He has learned how to save money and to also pay tithing on that money (he doesn't get to spend his money, it goes right to the bank). And he gets so excited to when he gets to pay his own tithing. Yeah we may have a funny farm here, but these are lessons in life that are priceless and ones he will never forget!
Happy Birthday Brynnie!
Well, the day finally arrived when we could celebrate Brynn's birthday. It was so sad she just kept singing happy birthday to herself and would "practice" blowing out the candles. She had a great birthday and got alot of cool gifts. It was a special treat this year because her cousin Taylor, who lives away, was able to come. It was a special birthday for her and she had a blast!
This cake has a funny story. So I was trying to make her a cute lady bug cake, but as you can see it didn't turn out very well. First of all, it didn't turn as spherical (is that a word?) as I wanted it too. And then I couldn't get the icing to turn red. I kept putting red food coloring in it but the more I put in, the yellower it turned. And then I read the back and it said to add a couple of drops of blue to it. When I did that, it turned an ugly green. So I just kept adding red to it. Come to find out, it was yellow I was adding, and the kids had put the wrong lid on. You would think I would have figured it out. And then my "antennas" wouldn't stick up, so it ended up looking more like a beetle. Oh well, at least it tasted good!

Brynn Leann

Yesterday was Brynn's second birthday. Tyler is out of town, so we are going to celebrate it today. To make it a little special we ate Little Cezar's pizza for dinner after Peyton's t-ball practice. And when it came time for bath, I asked her what color she wanted the water to be. She said that she wanted it green, so I put some food coloring in it. The kids thought it was really fun. They didn't want to get out! I just wanted to write a few things about our little girl. She was definitely my BEST pregnancy and delivery. She has definitely been my WORST teether! She is the SWEETEST little girl I have ever met. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. (When we give her a treat or a piece of candy, she has to have two; one for her and one for Peyton).
Every night before we tuck her in, she will say "tiss" meaning "kiss." Tyler and I both have to give her a kiss on her mouth and then she wants one on her cheek. She LOVES her sippy and always wants, "duce" meaning "juice." She ALWAYS sits and watches me put on my make-up and gets excited when I put a little bit on her. She has definitely been a fun addition to our family! Happy Birthday Brynn!

My Little T-Baller
Peyton had his first t-ball game Saturday. We were all so excited. It is fun to see your kid playing sports. Tyler has been waiting for this day to come (as I am sure all dads do). And what makes this even more fun is that all of the "boy" cousins are on the same team! Austin and Colby play with Peyton. It makes it easy for Grandma and Grandpa to come and watch, and we get to sit with family. Uncle Mark and Aunt Savanna even came! I was kind of expecting something funny to happen, like Peyton run the bases in the wrong direction or him throwing the ball to the wrong person, etc. But they all did really well. It took a little bit to catch on though. At first Peyton played third base and that was kind of boring, he was more interested in watching all of the other kids play on the playground. But then he got put on first base and that was were all the action was. He never caught anything that was thrown to him, but he would sure run after the ball and try to get to the base before the runner did. Colby did really well also, and Austin was a "rookie" he was really good. He knew what he was doing out there! It was great fun and the boys seemed to love it!

All Grown Up...

Last night we finally decided it was time to move Brynn to her "big girl" bed and give Landen the crib. Brynn did great and didn't wake up all night! It was kind of sad to see her sleeping in her bed. It just means she is growing up so fast. Landen seemed to like his crib and loved the extra room. Brynn will turn two next week and Landen will be six months. Time really does fly by!

And we were Swangin'
A slide
Three swings and also a fire pole!
Rock-climbing Wall
A Sand Box
Tyler finished the kid's swing set yesterday. They are so excited. Now if the weather would just cooperate! For a week or so we just had the slide out there, and they were out there all the time. Even when the wind was blowing hard! They didn't care. So I know they will enjoy this all summer. Tyler is such a great dad and is always willing to take his own time and build things for the kids!
