Crazy, Crazy!

Landie kept asking, "Ride my horse?" He was ready to saddle up and go for a ride. No fear, people...no fear!

So I turned the big 2-7 the other day. I have not been looking forward to this birthday, but I guess that it is how it is going to be and is just going to get worse every year. I had a great day though. Tyler cooked me breakfast in the morning and woke Peyton up for me and let me sleep in for a few extra minutes. The kids were really good that day and I was not as sick as I have been. My friends and family called and emailed and it was so sweet of everyone to think of me that day. I had told Tyler not to get me anything because we are going to New York this week and I would rather buy something there. But when he came home he had a gift bag and an envelope to give me. He told me to open the envelop first so I opened it and in it was a certified paper of some sort. I couldn't understand what it was and as I was reading I saw that word, Bay Gelding in there and some other stuff and I thought, well that is a type of horse but this must be something else. I looked at him with a dumb expression on my face and then he was told me to look in the bag and sure enough, there was a halter and a curry comb in there. I was like did you get me a HORSE for my birthday? He just had a funny look on his face. After a while of this going on, he finally persuaded me that this wasn't a joke and that he really had gotten me a horse. What is funny is that this horse was born on my birthday. Tyler had a softball game that night and we went out to eat as a family and went and watched Tyler play ball. It was a great birthday and I have to say I have never been surprised like that before, EVER! My husband is so sweet. It ended up that he had a friend that was wanting to give the horse away and had asked Tyler if he wanted a horse. I had told Tyler years ago that we should get horses to put in our pasture and have them to ride and things. He remembered me telling him that and I also use to go riding when I was younger with a family friend and me and my best friend, Nikki totally went through an obession with horses. I think that I read every horse book I could get my hands on. Anyways, we are all excited and Tyler rode him today and said that he is a great horse. I guess I will have to wait until next year after I have this baby to get to ride him. Oh, and he has the wierdest name because he use to be a race horse, "We all love Larry" is his name. I am still in the process of coming up with a better name than that!

More Pictures!

A picture of the 1st graders during the Spring Sing Show (Peyton is in the blue in the second from the top row)
Peyton had his first grade field trip last week and Mindy took these pictures. He had a blast!

See Peyton front and center in the gray and white shirt. His favorite part of the whole field trip was the snake.
Brynn's in the back row, third from the right

My awesome friend, Mindy sent me these pictures of all the random activities our both of our kids have been involved in. I really appreciate them! I don't know how she does it, I can barely get pictures of my own kids, much less anyone else's! Thanks!

Brynn's End- of- the- Year Dance Recital

Ryan Thomas Photography picture

The recital this year was so good. Christa always does such a great job with these girls. Brynn danced great and didn't even get nervous. We love doing dance but I was relieved when it was over. It gets really busy here at the end of the school year. She was so excited about her medal and flowers and awards that she received after the recital. Way to go Brynn!

Peyton's Baseball Team

This was Peyton's baseball team this year. He missed the picture because we were out of town. He had a great coach and their team did really well!

Spring Dance Show

Our high school dance team puts a little dance camp together for all ages of kids. Brynn participated last year and wanted to do it again this year. They do such a cute job with them. She did get confused between this dance and the two dances she learned with her dance class, but she did great. They were so cute out there. We stayed and watch the whole show. Our dance team does such a great job.

SWAGGER WAGON

Kay, so I have laughed so hard at this commercial. I got this from Steph's blog, I swear, if I ever need a good laugh I just head to her blog. I shared this on the Declo Diva blog and just had to put it on here. I normally don't do this, but I couldn't resist. If I ever, absolutely have to get a mini-van...this will be the one! Enjoy!

Jake's Sunday Farewell

Jake gave his final talk on Mother's Day sunday. He did a really great job. We had lunch afterwards and headed off on our five hour trip home. I had forgotten about Mother's Day, so I didn't get any pictures with the kids or anything, so I kind of slacked off this year!

Jake's Farewell Weekend

Little miss, priss (Dave and Jake calls her Brynncess, which fits her perfectly)

Here's my baby...he was so tired

I had all the boys jump at the same time...I love Jake's expression

Landen hated the googles because he couldn't breathe

Tyler's cousin (Savanna's brother), Jake was getting his endowments and was having his missionary farewell this last weekend, so we just made a fun weekend out of it. Friday we left and went to Jaman and Brigetta's where we stayed the night Friday night (thanks, guys!). We left the kids there with a baby-sitter so we could go to the temple with Jake. Saturday morning we woke up and took the kids to the hotel where Uncle Dave and everyone was staying so the kids could swim in the indoor pool. We almost had a drowning incident with Landen, that scared me to death. He was in the hot tub and I had turned and was taking pictures of the boys in the swimming pool. Peyton had gotten out of the pool and I was helping him into the hot tub and there is Landen in the middle of the hot tub trying to keep his head above the water. I don't know how long he had been there, but Peyton grabbed him and pulled him up. We were all around him, but no one was really paying attention to him. It was scary and I realized that is all it takes, is one second of inattention for something bad to happen. Anyways, other than that experience the pool was great and the kids had a blast! Afterwards, we went and took family pictures and then ate at Craigo's (which is my favorite restaurant!). We then headed out to Salmon to stay with Dave and Connie. We always love going up there. Salmon is so pretty and there are animals everywhere. We saw some moose, elk, geese, and deer all along the road. Thanks for letting us stay!
