Dance Recital

(The flower weed was her idea)

Brynn had her end-of-the-year dance recital last weekend. I am always so excited to see her dance on the stage and also for dance to be over. I am usually ready for a break as I am sure most moms are come May. I cannot wait for summer and just being able to hang out with the kids without other obligations. Brynn did such a great job and she was able to have an extra special treat. She was finally able to put her hair up in a bun with fake hair. All the other girls have always been able to put their hair up and Brynn has always wanted too, but her hair has never been quite long enough. Kristen decided that she would be able to get it up and she did. She did such a great job and little Brynnie couldn't have been happier. She looked so grown up and she kept talking about it afterwards. I know that this seems so insignificant, but to us this was a big deal. Brynn has always been kind of self-conscious about her hair and it has finally started growing, so she is loving it! I guess now I am going to have to start learning how to do little girl's hair...or else I will just have Kristen do it! :)

More baseball pictures

Landen was invited to play on Brynn's team and he was soooo excited. He didn't have a glove but loved standing in the outfield and hitting the ball and running the bases. He swung the bat at the ball on the tee and missed the ball and the tee completely and let go of the bat. Thank goodness it didn't hit anyone. We were laughing. He wasn't quite sure how to run the bases but soon got the hang of it. Brynn did real well. She is quite the runner and runs to the bases really fast. Peyton hit really well and even slide at home plate, earning him some cuts and scrapes. Jordan and Wade were there to watch them and they loved having their own cheering section as well as two extra coaches telling them what they need to do. :)

Loving the warm weather

We have been outside enjoying our warm weather while it lasts. Landen is always taking off his clothes every chance he gets, especially when it is hot. People who drive by my house probably wonder what kind of institution I am running. Landen is usually naked, peeing, or doing number two in the yard. He loves being outside and playing (so much so, that he doesn't feel the need to go inside for even mundane things, like using the bathroom) Lets just say that he had at least put on his underwear by the time I had grabbed my camera.

Mya

My little lady is five months old. Time is flying by so fast that I feel like I can't catch my breath. She is certainly the center of attention in this household. She is so spoiled rotten. She does NOT like to be left alone in a room, she loves to have her sister and brothers talk and play with her. She is finally liking her cereal. She was getting up once a night and then got sick, so now she gets up two times in the night. She has started going to bed earlier (from 10:30 to now 9:30). She still LOVES taking baths. She has the cutest smile. Her cheeks are so chubby, her eyes get so little when she grins. She demands your attention, if you are sitting near her, she wants you talking to her and looking at her. She has rolled over a couple of times, grabs her toys and puts everything in her mouth. Does not like her car seat and there have been many trips where she cries herself to sleep. Loves her crib and that is about the only place she will take a good, long nap. She has us all wrapped around her little finger and we are sure loving her!
