I Love to see the Temple...

We were able to go to the Temple open house today, and it was really great. Peyton was so intrigued by the temple and of the rooms and ordinances that take place there. He said that his favorite thing were the pretty lights (chandeliers) in each room. It was so great that we had this opportunity to go through the temple with our kids. I remember going to the open house and dedication of the Orlando Temple and it was something that I will never forget. Brynn was only interested in sitting in every seat there was in the rooms and Landen was just squirmy and wanted down, but they did pretty good. When we were eating the refreshments in the stake center, we ran into Kristen and Chris, so we went out and took more pics. Brynn and Kylie Jo were being so cute, holding hands and hugging, and talking about the temple, I just couldn't resist taking their picture. I couldn't help but think that this will be where our kids will go when they are Youth and this maybe where they eventually get married. It made the experience that much better, because I can tell them that when they were kids they were in this same room or to Brynn "you sat in that chair when you were two." Crazy, I know, but you can't help but think these things!

Busy, Busy

Landen has turned out to be quite the little boy. He is constantly getting into everything! Now that he is crawling, I can hardly keep up with him! I have found him in the toilet, in the trash, in the washing machine, on our dish washer, and he has turned off the computer more than I can count (while I am still on it). He has to be in the same room as me and it is so cute to see him when his dad comes home, he will not leave his side. Landen certainly keeps us on our toes, but I wouldn't want it any other way!

My kids LOVE watermelon. Every time we go to the grocery store, Peyton always asks for a watermelon. And unfortunate for them, I have no idea how to pick one to save my life. The last time I picked one out, it stayed white the whole way through and was not sweet at all. My mother-in-law is very good at picking them out, so they only get watermelon when we over there, or at special occasions. This was all Brynn had for lunch, and this was about her fourth piece when I took these pics!

What's This?

Why is everyone laughing at me?

This little horny toad was found at the Family Reunion this last weekend, so we thought it would be funny to see Landen's reaction to this ugly creature. And what did he do? He tried to grab it and play with it and wasn't the least bit scared of it. He is definitely all boy!

The summers are always so busy with the family reunions going on. This was our first one this year and we have another one this weekend. The kids always love going and spending time with their cousins and family. We had a lot of fun at the cabin this year. There were tons of games, food, and activities going on constantly. Thanks Uncle Russ and Aunt Karen for a great reunion!

Finger-Lickin' Good

We ate some finger lickin' good cotton candy at the reunion. Thanks Uncle Bob and Aunt Leah for the great cotton candy!

Brynnie was in the mood for posing, so I got a couple of shots!

Boys!

I thought these pics were cute of Tyler and Peyton. I loved the one of Peyton whispering in Tyler's ear. I'm sure they had some kind of mischief going on. More like Peyton had a "cool" idea and Tyler felt he had to tag along and make sure no one would get hurt!

Fishin!

This was after the fish "bit" him

Monday night we took the kids fishing. Peyton has been begging Tyler to take him, so we decided to make a family outing out of it. It was alot of fun. The kids acted better than I thought they would. Peyton had his own pole and he could cast and reel all on his own. He is quite the fisherman. And Brynn on the other hand liked to reel, but when she caught a fish, she didn't want to touch it or get near it! GIRLS! And Landen just wanted to do a header into the cold river. So we let him splash a little bit, thinking once he felt the cold water then he would be done, but oh no. He wanted to swim in the river. We are definitely going to have our hands FULL with this little boy!
