Mya's Blessing

Sister Stoker made this beautiful blanket that we blessed Mya in

3 generations

We had Mya's blessing this last Sunday (December 26th). We decided to have it so early because my mom would be here and all our out-of-town family would already be here also, so we figured it would be the best way to go. I didn't have a dinner afterwards, I kinda slacked on my end. Christmas is just so crazy, I didn't feel like I could do both. So we just had some refreshments at Tyler's parents house later that evening. Tyler gave a great blessing. I am so grateful that he is able to bless our kids. Those who stood in the circle were: Uncle Mark, Uncle Glade, Uncle Justin, Uncle Ryan, Grandpa Richard, Chris, Uncle Jaman, and Bishop Searle. Mya did so well and she didn't even make a peep. Landen on the other hand was crying (screaming more like it) because we forgot one of his cars at home. So I thought he would be crying during the blessing and that I was going to miss what was being said. But fortunately he did calm down. I was grateful to have my family and Tyler's family there for that special occasion. Mya looked so cute in her blessing dress. We used the same dress Brynn wore on her blessing day. I love it.

Me and My Girls

I love having two little girls!!!

Christmas Jammies

Here are the kids in their cute Christmas Jammies. I forgot to get my little Mya a pair. Oops! These are four of my greatest blessings this year! This Christmas season has been crazy with a newborn. I am so glad my mom has been able to be with us for about two weeks. I don't know what I would have done without her. One day we spent all day making treats to deliever to everyone. I think I made about three different kinds of cookies and mom made some amazing pretzel treats. Tyler had to take all the kids to deliver them to everyone by himself so that we could wrap the kids gifts, since I hadn't gotten around to that. Tyler, Me, and Mya were able to participate in the Nativity play for the primary. Tyler was Joseph and I was Mary, and Mya was once again baby Jesus. The bishopric played the Wise Men and the Stake Presidency played the Shepards. It was fun to participate in. I have loved having such a small baby this time of year. It has made me relate to Mary more and to appreciate all she had to go through to give birth to the baby Jesus. We had a great holiday spent with family and friends! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Nativity Play

Landen smiled liked this the whole time

The donkey trying to console baby Jesus

Every year Tyler's family has the grandkids dress up and act out the Nativity while reading in the book of Luke. We have been in Florida every year for Christmas so my kids have not been able to participate. Tyler's mom does such a great job with their costumes and the kids had a blast. Peyton was Joseph, Brynn was an angel, Landen wanted to be the donkey, and Mya was baby Jesus (this was her second time playing the baby Jesus). The kids were so cute acting out the book of Luke. Mya screamed the whole time. Landen couldn't keep the smile off his face. And while Mya was screaming, the "donkey" kept kissing and rubbing her head. It was so cute. I love doing things like this that helps the kids understand the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

Rock Creek

We took my mom up to see the lights at Rock Creek. After eating at Pizza Hut, we drove in that crazy fog we have been having up to Rock Creek. The place was sooo croweded. The kids got to feed the camel some carrots (Brynn opted out). I think that camel was twice the size it was the last time we went up there. The lights were amazing and the kids loved walking around. I wish it would have been a little bit warmer and I would have enjoyed it better :)

Splish, Splash, Mya's Taking a Bath

Mya's first bath. She.Loved. It.

Decorating Gingerbread Houses

I love Landie's look of intense concentration

Kinda scary

Brag Board

I just had to take a minute and brag on my little-big boy. He has worked so hard to get his AR points high enough to run in his school's Rock the Halls. About a week and a half before he had to have his 50 points and began working in overtime and brought home two books a night and would even read and test on books during his recess in order to get the points he needed. And if you know Peyton, you know how important his recesses are. He worked super hard and really put his mind to what he wanted. I was just so proud of him...to see him make and goal and work so hard to accomplish that goal. Tyler went and watched him Rock the Halls and he was just grinning from ear to ear. Way to go Peyt!!

Happy Holidays

From our family to yours!

Little Miss Mya

What can I say about this little girl? She is definately the center of all of our lives right now. It is impossible for any of the kids to just walk by her and NOT touch or kiss her. They just adore her. I love how she has her daddy wrapped around her little fingers. (He offers to get up with her in the night), I love how when she hears my voice her little mouth immediately opens [that shows the kind of relationship we have at the moment :)], I love that she is getting so chubby she has a double chin and "rubber band" arms, I wish she would sleep better at night...but she is such a sweet little girl and we are sure loving every minute (except during the hours between midnight and five a.m.) :)

More pictures of our little lady!

Wow, this week has flown by. I can't believe our little baby is a week old already. She has been such a sweet little gal. She isn't the greatest sleeper at night, but we will hopefully work that out soon. She has had to go into the doctor every day since she was born to get her bilirubin checked. Her numbers kept going up and they wanted her tested everyday to see if we would have to put her under a blanket or light. But Wednesday her numbers finally went down and we took her one last time yesterday and they are still going down, so she is doing great. The kids all still love her. She has brought so much love into our home, we are so grateful to have her. Tyler has been amazing and even takes his turn during the night with her. Other than being tired most of the day, I am feeling really good. She is such a fun baby...i love her chubby cheeks and her long fingers and toes. She is hungry all the time...or at least it feels like that to me. She is growing like a weed and I already feel like time is slipping away. Brynn told me the other day that, Mya was the best Christmas present. I would have to say that I agree!
