I didn't get a chance to take a picture of Peyton and his teacher on the first day of school, so I did today. His actual teacher is Mrs. Mendenhall, but tragically her husband just passed away and she has been out. So Mrs. Webb is filling in for a couple of weeks for her. And Peyton said that he loves his new teacher. She is doing a great job! When Mrs. Mendenhall returns, we will have to get a picture with her too!
This last weekend we went to Lava Hot Springs. It was our last hoo-ra for the summer. And it was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed the swimming and the adults enjoyed the 33 foot platform and fast slides.
Jaylee and Braden were getting dropped off too, so we had to take a picture
Peyton's Classroom
As you can tell, he was getting SICK of pictures! The day has finally arrived when my firstborn in going to school. In some aspects we both have been so excited about this day. But today I realized that our relationship will never be the same. Slowly he will begin to need me more and more less, and will lean on is friends and peers more and more. I thought that I would do just fine dropping him off and everything. But it was harder than I thought it would be. When we walked into his classroom, we unloaded his supplies and then he turned to me and said, Bye Mom. I don't know what I was hoping for, that he would cry and grab my leg and beg me not to leave him? Anyways, it was a good day and I know that we will get through just fine!
