Landen

I had to post these pictures because I feel Landen doesn't get enough of the spotlight. He is the cutest little baby (if I do say so myself). The other day my uncle said that he was so pretty he could be a girl. Of course, I agreed. He is such a fun baby and just goes with the flow, which is sometimes fast and crazy. He loves it when Brynn and Peyton talk to him, he just laughs and laughs at them. We love him so much!

Making Jam

I enjoy making jam about this time every year. This is the time strawberries go on sale and I go crazy making jam. Last year I didn't get a chance to make more than one batch because I was pregnant and sick. So this year I am going to make up for it. It was fun making it tonight because Savanna came and joined me (it was her first time). It is always a lot more fun and easier when you have two people working on it. We made a batch of freezer and a batch of cooked. (I personally like the cooked better, but it does take more work.) It was fun and I can't wait to eat my famous PB & J tomorrow for lunch. (That's for you Robbie) :)

Concoctions...

Peyton loves to mix random things together to make a disgusting-looking concoction. Today the ingredients were crackers, banana, Doritos, Little Debbie Swiss Rolls, Water, and Strawberries. Needless to say, he had a lot more fun making it then tasting it. I asked him why he would try something so gross and he said, "I like all of the stuff I put in there..." And I said yeah, you like eating it separately, but it doesn't taste so good together. He agreed.

Snowing in APRIL!

This is the scene I woke up too this morning when I was getting ready for school. So I just had to blog it, to keep from crying. Who ever heard of snow in April? You have if you live in Idaho. I love living here, but days like these I wish I were laying out on a sunny beach in Florida. Which I bet most of my family have already done. And I know y'all are just laughing because it is probably 80 or 85 there. But oh well, at least MY kids can build snowmen instead of sand castles in April!

Organizing!

Okay, so I have a love/hate relationship with the Case Lot Sales that come along twice a year. I get really excited to replenish my food storage for cheap, but I HATE trying to figure out where to put all the new stuff. I don't have too big of a storage room, but I still want to get a year's supply, so I have to Cram! After three hours and a few injuries (two smashed toes from cans falling on them, splinters in my fingers, etc.) I finally finished! Now I just have to figure out where I will put my stuff in six months!

A Trip to the Fire Station

Today Peyton's preschool, took a field trip to the fire station in Burley. His teacher asked me to help drive, so Brynn and I got to tag along. It was a lot of fun. They first watched a fire safety video that taught them what to do in case of a fire. And then the fireman picked Peyton to put on his helmet. Peyton thought that was pretty neat. Although he was kind of disappointed the bell didn't ring and all the fireman didn't zoom off in their fire trucks. I tried to explain to him that it was a GOOD thing that they didn't have to leave because that meant no one was hurt, but how do you explain that to a FOUR year old? At the end they had a fireman slide down the famous fire pole. And Tyler has been telling Peyton that he is going to put one on his new swing set and Peyton hasn't been too impressed. But after that field trip, he has been really excited to have one.Posted by Picasa

Sunday Best

I try and take pictures of my kids before church, because it is very rare that they are fully clothed with nothing gross on their faces. So here a some pics of them in their Sunday Best. Brynn was pointing to her teeth, because I would say "show me your teeth," to get her to smile. (Landen was sleeping when I took these pictures, so I didn't get any of him)

Fun with Cousins!

Every month my sister-in-law and I take turns babysitting once a month so that we can go out on dates with our husbands. The kids love being able to spend time together and just play! This last weekend it was our turn to babysit. The kids had a lot of fun. Brynn and Brooklyn played doctor and Brynn dressed for the occasion. Brooklyn happened to have a big "owie" on her leg and Brynn tried to fix it. It was cute!

Our little artist!

Peyton loves art. He is always working on some project. The easter bunny brought him some water colors and big paper murals to paint, and he has enjoyed doing that. The other day we were in Walmart and in the craft section, he found this wood car and knew he wanted to paint it. So he snuck in into our buggy and I didn't notice it until we were checking out. So after a couple of days of painting it, he finished yesterday, and asked me to put it on the "internet."

My sweet Baby

Landen was so happy this morning, I just had to post these pictures! He is such a sweet baby, and so good. I have been very blessed that he is so good. He never cries or complains, unless he is hungry or tired. I hope that because he is such a good baby doesn't mean he is going to be a horrible toddler! We have certainly enjoyed having him in our family!

The JOYS of having GIRL!

1. The Mood Swings!

2. Playing Dress-up

3. Wearing Make-Up (Mammaw had given Brynn some make-up when they came out to visit) and Brynn loved putting it on. Especially the lipstick. As much as she loved putting it on herself, she really enjoyed putting it on Chelsea and having Chelsea putting it on her too.
4. Playing Mom- The other day the baby was crying and I told Brynn to go and talk to him until I could pick him up. Well, she did a good job and quieted him down fast. When I did get over there to him, I saw that he was drooling chocolate. So I just thought that she has given him some chocolate and that he had already swallowed it. But then I realized that he was still trying to eat something in his mouth. So I reached in there with my finger and pulled out a whole wad of caramel. Brynn had given him a Rolo candy out of her basket. Well, she definitely quieted him down! What a great little mom!

5. Painted Nails

6. All the hairbows- When Brynn goes to bed, she has to have these certain hair bows in hand to fall asleep. When she wakes up, we find her in her crib with all of them in her hair.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Peyton and Brynn had a blast coloring eggs. It was funny because our eggs wouldn't quite turn out to be the color we wanted (because we were coloring our chicken's brown eggs). So the eggs weren't quite as vibrant as we wanted, but the kids still enjoyed coloring the eggs and then painting them. Daddy couldn't even eat them because they were too "pretty."
