Happy Birthday Peyton!

Jonathan had to get in on the arcade games too!

Braden rolled the bowling ball all on his own, and was really good at it!

This year for Peyton's birthday, I decided to take the easier route and take him and some of his friends bowling. This year he wanted an all boy party, so he invited some of his friends from church and preschool. They all had a lot of fun, but it was funny because all the boys wanted to do were play the arcade games. Tyler and Trey were the only avid bowlers in the group. Peyton had a great birthday party and a lot of fun!

Fair and Rodeo

I took a picture of this turkey, because this turkey is the one who bit poor little Brynnie's finger when she stuck it in his cage!

Peyton was the only one who would pet the pigs

Brynn liked feeding the cows, but only at a distance

This was Jonathan and Landen's first fair and rodeo

Landen petting the sheep

Brynn wanted a picture of her cute outfit, she asked me to take it after we got her dressed

I know that I say this alot but, I love living in a small town! It is so fun to go to the fair and rodeo and see people you haven't seen in awhile, look at all the animals, watching the rodeo, and of course, the food! My kids just love going. This year Tyler was out of town, so we only went to the rodeo one night, which worked out because Landen was so tired and irritable, we just stayed out with him most of the time. We already can't wait until next year!

Moving...

They left all of the heavy boxes for me

Peyton took a snack break first thing...

And then he decided to work a little.

Well, the day I have been dreading has finally arrived. Today we packed Mark and Savanna up and moved them into their new apartment about an hour away. And I know they aren't moving far away, but I am still sad. Anyways, it was a long day, but we made it through fine.

I had bought Peyton a new hat for school, so Brynn couldn't stand that he had a hat and she didn't, so she dug through her winter hats and had to wear this all day, even though it was sooo hot! I had to take a pic of my cute kids in their head wear.

ATTITUDE!

I had to journal about a little incident I had with Brynnie this morning. I was just telling Leslie how it has been fun because she is starting to speak in sentences and enunciate? her syllables better. Anyways, I was laying in bed this morning being lazy and she crawled into bed with me. Well, she wanted her sippy cup, so I went to the fridge to get it and it wasn't there, so I figured it was in her room. Well, I got back into bed with her and told her that her sippy must still be in her room and that she would have to go get it. Well, she whined and cried for a minute begging me to go get it and I told her, "No, if you want it go get it." If any of you know her well enough know that she will drop something as she is climbing on the couch and would want us to get whatever it is she dropped, she won't just bend over and get it. Anyways, when she realized I wasn't going to get it, she said, "Tay!" (while kicking off the covers) and then said, " I doe dit it!" (as she slammed my door). I laughed so hard. Maybe it isn't great that she is speaking in sentences now! Girls!!!

A weekend with Uncle Dave and Aunt Connie

Brynn thought she was going rafting too, but was satisfied to stay and play with Aunt Connie

There was a herd of goats just standing by the road, eating. The babies were so cute.

Mark and Savanna

My little rafting family ( and yes I look awful, but who would put on makeup and get ready just to get wet?)

Jake and Peyton showing off their "guns"

This last weekend we went up and visited Tyler's Aunt and Uncle and coincidently Mark's in-laws. We had a great weekend, it is so pretty where they live. There is wildlife everywhere! We saw deer, elk, and mountain goats. Tyler starting getting hunting fever while we were there. On Saturday Uncle Dave took us white water rafting. It was a lot of fun. We just took our time and stopped along the way and it was a blast. Peyton went with us and sat in the middle with a death grip on the rope. But he never got scared, except when it kind of started storming on us. And everyone who knows him, know he is deathly afraid of lightning. He loved the big rapids that would make the boat go way up in the air. Anyways, we stopped at this rock cliff that is about 15 ft above the water and were going to jump off of it. And guess who wanted to go too? Peyton. I know that he is a dare devil like his dad, but I never would have thought he would do this. But he did! I mean Tyler and I were scared to jump, but he didn't mind it one bit. I jumped first and waited at the bottom and Tyler kind of lifted him and dropped him in the water, so he would over correct and get hurt. And he loved it! We couldn't believe that a four year-old would do that. I guess that is just a sneak peak into what we have to look forward too in the years to come. Anyways, it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to visit again!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Brynn just LOVES her cousin, Brooklyn. Brooklyn came over to our house and as soon as she got there, she asked Brynn, "do you want a makeover?" And Brynn answered by yelling excitedly. So Brooklyn got out her little bags and painted Brynn's fingernails and toenails. And finished the makeover with lipstick, that Brynn eventually got to keep. It was so cute to watch them together. It reminded me of growing up with my own girl cousins and what a great experience that was and still is!

I have two teeth!

Can you see Landen's little buds coming through? They have finally broke through after weeks of: crying, drooling, nasty diapers, fussiness, and just not being himself. Its so funny how parents get so excited about the smallest things, but we are.

Summer Fun

Geez, I wonder were Peyton gets his charming expressions and love of the camera from?

Now, THIS is the best way to cook a smore, then the chocolate is melted too!

My mom always comments on how I don't post a lot of pictures of Peyton, well Mom, here's why...either he gets mad that I am taking his picture or he will, in a very cute way, cross his eyes for me. So this is for you, Mom

I couldn't ever get Taylor to look at me and even sit still long enough to get her picture, but every time I would say, "Show me your teeth," this is the grin I would get from her!

I love how Brynn would throw the rocks in the water...is this the same thing as when basketball players stick their tongue out when they slam dunk the ball?

Austin gave me a cute little pose

Ahhhh, a girl after my own heart!

As you can see, Landen loved playing in the dirt and eating it too!

Um, waitress, can a get a little more cracker with that dirt?

One of the things I LOVE about summer is going to the mountains and building a campfire. Okay, I'll admit, I really only love the smores that we make IN the mountains and cooking them ON the campfire. We haven't really had a chance to do this yet, so we went up this last weekend and made smores and threw rocks in the water and ate pizza and just visited. The kids always enjoy it and did I mention that I love the smores?
