Spring Break Fun

Savanna called me and had gotten permission to go visit the Kowitz sheep farm so we took the kids over to pet and feed the baby sheep. The kids were over at Grandma and Grandpa's so I grabbed them and Getta's kids and we headed over. The kids loved it! They were climbing in and out of the pens and scaring the poor the sheep to death. It was so nice of them to let us go there and visit. The kids all begged for a baby lambs after that :)

Fun in Almo

Brielle and Arriann invited a group of us up to their cabin in Almo to spend the night and hang out. One day we took the kids up to City of Rocks and climbed around on the rocks for awhile. Then we went to Durfee hot springs and sat in the hot pools for awhile. The kids had fun having a big sleepover together and the Moms did too :)

Swimming in Boise

During one of the weekends of Spring Break we took the kids up to Boise and got a hotel room so that we could take full advantage of the indoor swimming pool. The kids had a blast of course. That Friday night we had gotten tickets to an Idaho Steelhead hockey game. It was soo much fun! We all had such a great time. We want to put that on our list to do again next year for sure. Saturday we woke up and swam till checkout time and then shopped for awhile and headed home.

Going back to the 80s....

For mutual our girl's had wanted to have an 80s night. So we dressed up in 80's workout attire and worked out to none other than the famous...Richard Simmons!!! I had to workout to one of his stinking videos for my Health class all during high school. I still have nightmares of "Working at the Car Wash." We had a blast doing his dance moves and not really working up a sweat but enjoying root beer floats after!

YW/ Relief Society Fashion Show

For our annual Relief Society birthday dinner, we were able to invite our little ladies and have dinner and a fashion show. Women of the ward brought old prom dresses, wedding dresses, and bridesmaids dresses for our Young Women to model after our dinner. It was so much fun watching the girls strut their stuff and model dresses from 40 plus years ago to present day. There were definitely some interesting dresses and each one had a story. It was a lot of fun and Brynn of course loved watching the girls wear those beautiful dresses.

4th Grade Science Fair

I had a bad attitude about this whole science fair deal. So I encouraged Tyler to make it a thing that he and Peyton do together. I was actually in Florida when they had to complete the project so I did not have ANY hand in this at all! They decided to do a science experiment on what metal conducts heat the best. It took some serious time to complete but I guess all of their (mostly Tyler's) hard work paid off because Peyton took FIRST place in the entire 4th grade! We were very surprised and he and Tyler (mostly Tyler) were very proud of themselves.
